Custom Kydex CZ P-10 Holsters

Everywhere else in CZ’s catalogue the answer is complicated. Here it is not. The P-10 is striker-fired and built the conventional way round, and its three sizes are separated by one thing only: how far the slide runs forward.

The letter on the slide is the whole answer, and unusually for this trade it means exactly what you would guess. If the marking has worn off, the overall lengths below are far enough apart that a tape measure settles it in seconds.

What Shares a P-10 Shell

Because the three sizes differ by length and little else, people reasonably ask whether the shorter guns will ride in a longer shell. They will go in. That is not the same as fitting.

Rail on All Three, Room on Only Two

A rail comes as standard on all three, so there is never a question of whether a light will attach. Proportion is the real limit — the S is short enough that a duty-size light overhangs the muzzle and starts undoing the reason you bought a sub-compact. The order form carries fifty-three lights and lasers. On a P-10 the shortlist comes down to these:

  • Streamlight TLR-7 or TLR-7 Sub, which suit the C and are the only sensible route on an S
  • Streamlight TLR-1 and TLR-1 HL-X, comfortable on an F and workable on a C
  • SureFire X300U A and B for a full-size build that will see duty use
  • Olight PL Mini 3, where a shorter body matters more than raw output

Optics. If your gun came cut for a micro dot, we take the roof of the shell down far enough that a shielded housing runs clear of it, and adding the dot does not move a P-10 C off the C pattern. Suppressor-height irons are the separate conversation: they stand above the housing and want more depth again.

Roughly 6.6, 7.3 and 8 inches. Those three numbers are the entire decision, and the gaps between them are far too wide for one shell to bridge — the smallest is more than an inch shorter than the largest. Three Sizes, Three Molds

When a range separates this cleanly, the temptation is to build one shell for the middle size and let the others make do. Put a gun into a shell built around something an inch longer and it is no longer held where the design intended. So:

  • Each of the three sizes has its own buck, and none of them is derived by trimming a larger pattern down.
  • Retention is set against the slide length actually in front of us, so the tension screw is there for fine adjustment rather than to compensate for a gap.
  • The short rail on the S is checked against your chosen light before pressing, instead of being discovered afterwards.

CZ P-10 Holster Questions

No. The S runs a 3.5 inch barrel against the C at 4.02, and overall it is roughly three quarters of an inch shorter, so it stops well inside a shell cut for the compact. Retention on these is taken forward of the trigger guard against a specific slide length, and on an S in a C shell those surfaces never meet. The gun will drop in and move around. Both sizes have their own line, so order the letter stamped on your slide.
The letter on the slide tells you outright, and for once in this trade it means exactly what you would expect — C for compact, F for full size, S for sub-compact. If the marking has worn, measure the pistol from the back of the slide to the muzzle. Around 6.6 inches is an S, about 7.3 is a C and roughly 8 is an F. Those gaps are wide enough that no measurement lands ambiguously between two sizes.
No, and the reason is more fundamental than size. The CZ 75 pattern runs its slide inside the frame rails, so those pistols present less exposed slide and more frame than a P-10 does, and a shell built for one grips completely different surfaces from a shell built for the other. The P-10 is CZ built the conventional way round. Treat it as a separate platform that happens to share a badge.
Plenty of people do, though it asks more of your belt and your cover garment than the C does. At roughly 8 inches overall with a taller grip, the F is a duty-size pistol, and the grip is usually what prints rather than the slide. If concealment is the priority the C is the easier gun to hide for very little loss. Either way we press the same range of builds, and a claw makes a noticeable difference on the F.
They do not. Both magazine types hang well under the frame, nowhere near the surfaces Kydex actually grips, so your pistol shell behaves the same whichever is loaded. Your spare carrier is the part that has to match, because a moulded pouch grips the magazine body itself and the two lengths are noticeably different. Tell us which one you carry as a spare and that is the one we form around.
A compact one. All three P-10 sizes carry an accessory rail, but the S has very little of it, so a full-size light overhangs the muzzle and adds length to the dimension you chose a sub-compact to avoid. The Streamlight TLR-7 and TLR-7 Sub are the sensible picks, with the Olight PL Mini 3 as a shorter alternative. On a C or an F you can move up to a TLR-1 or an X300U without the balance suffering.
Yes, on any of the three sizes. If your gun came cut for a micro optic, the roof of the shell is taken down far enough that a shielded housing runs clear, and you stay on the same line — a P-10 C with a dot is still ordered as the C. Do say if you run irons tall enough to show through the dot window, because those sit above the optic body and the cut has to be carried deeper still.
