Smith & Wesson Holsters

Custom Kydex Smith & Wesson Holsters

Smith & Wesson puts the M&P badge on a dozen different pistols. Four barrel lengths, a metal frame, two Performance Center guns and a Shield family that has been revised three times — all sharing one name, and none of them sharing a holster.

We press 20 Smith & Wesson patterns so you can pick the gun in your safe rather than the family it belongs to. Cut and formed to order by a veteran-owned shop in Middle Tennessee.

Which Smith & Wesson Do You Carry?

The M&P frame is shared across most of the line while the slide is not, and that is what trips people up at checkout. A 3.6 inch compact and a five inch full-size wear the same badge and need completely different shells.

Check the model stamped on your slide, find it below, and we will press to that pattern.

M&P 2.0 — Full-Size & Compact

The duty and range side of the line. Slide length is the variable that changes the holster, so read the barrel rather than the badge.

Shield & Shield Plus

The micro-compacts that made S&W a concealed carry default — slim, easy to hide, and unforgiving of loose retention.

Bodyguard 2.0

The 2024 micro .380. Genuinely a new pistol rather than a refresh, and it needs a pattern of its own.

M&P 5.7, Rimfire & Value

The outliers — the 5.7×28 flagship, the .22 Magnum plinker, and the budget SD line that still deserves a real holster.

Running a threaded barrel, a compensator or a custom slide cut? Send us the details — we build to just about anything on the market.

Carry Style

Smith & Wesson Holsters by Carry Style

A Shield and a five inch M&P want opposite things from a holster. Start from the gun, not the category.

S&W IWB Holsters

Inside the waistband — where a Shield, Shield Plus or Bodyguard 2.0 genuinely disappears.

S&W OWB Holsters

Outside the waistband for the full-size and Performance Center guns that fight you when seated.

S&W Sidecar Holsters

Holster plus spare magazine on one platform — the honest fix for a Shield that runs dry quickly.

S&W Bundles

A holster, mag pouch and wallet ordered together and priced as a set.
Light & Optic Ready

Weapon-Light and Red-Dot S&W Holsters

Adding a light does not mean adding clearance. The pistol and the light are pressed together as one shape, which is why an M&P 2.0 with a TLR-7 and the same gun under an X300U are two separate molds. Build it the other way and either the retention goes soft or the light catches on the draw.

More than 50 light and laser options are covered, spanning the Streamlight TLR range, SureFire X300U, the Olight PL and Baldr families, Inforce APL, Modlite PL350, Nightstick, SIG Foxtrot, Viridian, Crimson Trace and Holosun.

Optics-ready slides. The optics-ready M&P 2.0 and Shield Plus OR are cut for a dot from the factory and our shells clear them as supplied. Suppressor-height irons sit taller again, so mention them at checkout and we will open the sight channel to suit.

Why Neptune

Why a Model-Specific S&W Holster

Because the M&P line shares frames so widely, a holster maker can sell one shell against a dozen guns and rarely get called on it. The result is a pistol that rocks in the shell, or a draw that changes depending on how hard you cinched the belt. Pressing to the individual gun fixes three things at once:

Small shop, veteran owned, formerly Tampa and now Middle Tennessee, building every holster by hand to order. Read the background, or see the full list of firearm brands we press for.

FAQ

Smith & Wesson Holster Questions

Yes, and for the Bodyguard 2.0 Comp Carry as a separate pattern. Worth knowing before you order: the 2024 Bodyguard 2.0 is a different pistol from the original Bodyguard 380 — frame, slide and trigger guard all changed — so a shell cut for the older gun will not hold it correctly. Select the 2.0 specifically at checkout.
In most cases it will. The Shield Plus kept the external slide and frame footprint of the M&P Shield; what changed was internal, a wider grip and higher capacity. So a shell pressed for the Shield generally retains a Shield Plus correctly. Because we form to a specific pattern rather than a loose universal shape, we still ask for the exact model so it can be checked before anything is cut.
Measure the barrel rather than trusting the box. We hold separate patterns for the 3.6, 4, 4.25 and five inch M&P 2.0, plus the Metal Frame and both Performance Center guns. Since the frame carries across most of the line, the slide length is what decides which shell you need. Unsure? Send us what is stamped on the slide and we will match it.
No. The EZ carries a different slide profile and a longer grip, so it gets its own mold. We build for both the 9mm and .380 versions. Choose the EZ variant explicitly rather than the standard Shield, because the two will not swap.
Yes. Our shells clear slide-mounted optics on the optics-ready M&P 2.0 and the Shield Plus OR. If suppressor-height irons are in the mix as well, say so when you order so the sight channel gets cut deep enough to clear them cleanly.
We do, and the light is formed together with the pistol as a single unit rather than accommodated with spare room. That means an M&P 2.0 wearing a TLR-7 is a different press from the same gun wearing an X300U. Over 50 light and laser options are covered, including the Streamlight TLR range, SureFire X300U, Olight PL and Baldr, Inforce APL, Modlite PL350 and Nightstick. Choose the light attachment option on the product page.
For a 3.6 or 4 inch M&P carried every day, inside the waistband, with appendix and a claw giving the flattest result. For the five inch and Performance Center guns most people end up outside the waistband, because a five inch slide inside your belt argues with you every time you sit down. The Shield and Bodyguard 2.0 are small enough to hide either way.
Builds start at $50 for the Triton Series IWB, with most everyday-carry setups between $60 and $90 and the Zeus Level 2 duty rig at $130. Everything is cut, heated and formed after the order arrives, so plan on 10 to 14 business days. If yours needs a brand-new mold or CAD work we will say so up front, because that sits outside the normal window.
