Custom Kydex Glock 19X & Glock 45 Holsters
Two model numbers, two colours, one silhouette. Glock publishes the 19X and the 45 with matching slide length, matching barrel and matching height, so the Kydex has no way to tell them apart — and we press them as a single pattern rather than charging you twice for the same shape.
What that shell is emphatically not is a Glock 19 holster. The slide on top is the same; the frame underneath runs almost half an inch longer, and that is the half inch every wing, claw and clip is positioned around.

Glock 19X, Glock 45, or 45 MOS?
The 19X landed first, in coyote, wearing the frame Glock had built for the Army trials. The 45 followed in black with front serrations and no lanyard loop. Neither change reaches the Kydex. The optic cut is the only thing on this list that does.

The lanyard loop worries people more than it should. It hangs off the very bottom of the grip frame, below the magazine release and well clear of the Kydex, so a 19X drops into the same shell a 45 does with nothing catching on the way in.

Because the slide came off a Glock 19 and the frame came off a Glock 17, this pistol sits in the middle of two families and gets confused with both. Here is where the line actually falls.

Worth saying plainly, because the forums go back and forth on it: a 45 will often physically drop into a Glock 19 shell, since the part being gripped is identical. It is the concealment hardware that stops working. A wing set for a 19 grip lands mid-frame on a 45 and rolls nothing inward, which is the whole job you bought it for.

Full-Size Lights Fit This One
Here is where the 19X and the 45 pull ahead of most carry guns we build for. The dust cover carries a full-length Glock rail, not the stub you find on a subcompact, so the big bodies mount properly and there is frame under them to take the recoil:

Pick between them on grip, not on slide. The 19X and the 45 give you a full magazine and a hand that is entirely on the gun, at the cost of a grip that has to be covered properly. The Glock 19 hides more easily and holds two rounds fewer. Whichever you own, order its own pattern — the shared slide is exactly what tempts people into the wrong shell.
