Smith & Wesson only launched this pistol in 2024, and the holster market has not caught up. Search for one and you get universal pocket sleeves, or shells cut for the original Bodyguard 380 — a completely different gun that happens to share a name.

Bodyguard 2.0 or Bodyguard 2.0 Comp Carry?

Two lines in our configurator, and the difference is not cosmetic. A compensator adds material at the muzzle, exactly where a shell would otherwise close around the end of the slide. Press the wrong one and the pistol either will not seat or sits proud of the mouth.

This is the single most common mistake we see on this pistol, and it is an easy one to make when both guns are sold as a Bodyguard.

What Actually Changes a Bodyguard 2.0 Shell

On a full-size pistol the accessory conversation is about which weapon light you hang off the rail. On a micro .380 it is a different question entirely — what matters here is anything that alters the outline the Kydex closes around:

  • A compensator — the Comp Carry is a separate pattern, not an option on the standard one
  • Anything clamped to the frame or dust cover, laser units included
  • Aftermarket triggers or guards that change the trigger-guard profile
  • Not the magazine: flush or extended, it sits below the shell either way

Nothing carries over. Same barrel length is the only figure these two share, and barrel length is not what a shell indexes on. If you have moved from the 380 to the 2.0, budget for a new holster as part of the upgrade — and pick the pattern that names the 2.0 explicitly.

When a pistol has been out for two years rather than twenty, the shelf-stock holster industry has not tooled up for it yet — so what fills the search results is whatever can be sold as universal. Cutting to order sidesteps that entirely:

  • A new pattern costs us a mold, not a production run, so a two-year-old pistol gets the same treatment as a Glock 19.
  • Retention is taken from the trigger guard rather than from friction, which is the only thing that works on a pistol under ten ounces.
  • Variants get their own tooling as they appear, which is why the Comp Carry is already a separate line rather than a footnote.

Bodyguard 2.0 Holster Questions

No, and this catches people out constantly because the two share a name. The 2024 Bodyguard 2.0 was redesigned from the ground up — the frame, the slide and the trigger guard all changed, and the flush magazine went from six rounds to ten. A shell pressed around the 2010 pistol has the wrong internal shape, so the 2.0 will either not seat or will sit loose in it. Order the pattern that names the 2.0.
Yes, as its own separate pattern. The compensator adds material right at the muzzle, which is precisely where a shell would otherwise close around the end of the slide, so it cannot share tooling with the standard gun. Both appear as distinct lines in the model selector — pick the one matching the pistol you own and we press to that.
Inside the waistband, for almost everyone. A pocket holster relies on friction and on your trousers holding position, and this pistol is light enough that a fast draw can bring the whole holster with it. A moulded IWB shell locks onto the trigger guard so the gun comes out and the Kydex stays put. Pocket carry works if the pocket is deep, stiff and dedicated, but treat it as the exception.
It does not. The longer baseplate extends below the grip, well clear of anything the shell touches, so the same holster takes both magazines without modification. Your spare magazine carrier is the part that has to match, because a flush ten-round magazine and an extended one are different lengths — tell us which you carry when you order the pouch.
We can, but send us the exact unit first rather than choosing the nearest option in the list. Anything clamped to the frame or dust cover changes the outline the Kydex has to close around, and on a pistol this small there is very little margin to absorb a guess. Message us with the make and model and we will confirm the build before anything is cut.
Every pattern is available in left hand at no extra charge, and it is a genuinely mirrored mould rather than a right-hand shell with the hardware moved across. Choose Left under Hand when you configure your build. That applies to the standard 2.0 and the Comp Carry equally.
The opposite, if anything. A heavy pistol is partly held in place by its own weight, whereas a sub-ten-ounce gun has nothing working in its favour — it moves when you move, and a loose shell lets it shift out of position or ride up. The smaller and lighter the pistol, the more the fit is doing the work, which is the case for cutting one to shape rather than buying a sleeve.
Builds for this pistol run from $50 for the Triton Series IWB to $60 for the Triteia and the Slim Carry by TWAW, and adding a colour or a print does not change the base price. Everything is cut and pressed after the order arrives, on a ten to fourteen business day window. Builds needing a mold we have not previously made are excluded from that estimate, as the mold must be produced and proven beforehand.
