Custom Kydex SIG Sauer P365 Holsters

No pistol on our bench has branched like this one. The P365 was never replaced by a successor — it split, and grip length and slide length now move independently of each other, with compensators showing up on some branches and not others.

The upshot is that “P365 holster” is not one answer. We hold nine separate patterns across the family, more than for any other pistol we build, and the only wrong move is guessing which one you need.

Two things settle almost every case: is there porting or a comp visible at the muzzle, and is the grip module polymer or metal? Answer those and the line is usually obvious. Send a side-on photo if it is not, and we will identify it before anything gets cut.

The reliable test: anything that changes the outline from the trigger guard forward changes the holster. Anything below the grip line almost never does.

Lights on a P365 Are a Two-Part Question

Look through our light list and you will find two entries that exist for this pistol alone: an Olight Baldr Mini with a Recover rail, and the same light with a Tactical Dev rail. That tells you what you need to know — on much of this family the light does not bolt to the pistol, it bolts to an adapter that bolts to the pistol, and the adapter is part of the shape we press:

  • Olight Baldr Mini, listed separately with Recover and Tactical Dev rails for the P365 and XL
  • Streamlight TLR-7 Sub, in the sub-compact body sized for micro pistols
  • Streamlight TLR-6, which clamps rather than rail-mounts
  • Streamlight TLR-8 Sub where a laser matters as much as the light

Optics. Most of this family is optic-ready from the factory, and our P365 shells run a sight channel cut to clear a shielded micro dot. Tell us the optic and any rail adapter together when you order — those two decisions interact, and getting them into the same press is the difference between a clean draw and a shell that scrapes.

Pick by grip, not by barrel. The base gun and the X-Macro share a 3.1 inch barrel and feel completely different in the hand and on the belt, because everything that changed is below the slide. The XL splits the difference by growing in both directions. Whichever you own, order the line that names it — and if you are still deciding between platforms, the SIG Sauer holster page covers the P320 and P226 side of the range.

Nine Patterns Is the Point

A shelf-stock maker cannot carry nine versions of one pistol, so it carries two or three and calls the rest close enough. Cutting to order removes that constraint entirely:

  • A new branch of the family costs us a mould rather than a production run, so variants get tooled as they appear instead of years later.
  • Comped and uncomped guns are held as genuinely separate patterns, not as one shell with extra clearance at the muzzle.
  • Rail adapters and lights are pressed into the shape rather than accommodated around it, which is what keeps retention consistent.

SIG P365 Holster Questions

Nine, which is more than we tool for any other pistol. The list runs from the original P365 through the XL and the XL without a Spectre comp, the X-Macro in standard, Comp and Icarus forms, the Fuse, and both generations of the AXG Legion. Each is a separate pattern rather than a shared shell with extra clearance, because grip length, slide length and muzzle hardware all vary independently across the family.
Yes, and it is the single most common ordering mistake on this platform. A comp extends the pistol forward into the space the Kydex was going to occupy, so a comped gun simply will not seat in an uncomped pattern. Our selector reflects that by listing the two forms separately, including an explicit line for an XL without the Spectre comp. Check the muzzle before you order.
Usually only with a rail adapter, and that adapter becomes part of the holster. Our light list carries the Olight Baldr Mini twice for this reason, once with a Recover rail and once with a Tactical Dev rail, both specified for the P365 and XL. The Streamlight TLR-7 Sub and the clamp-on TLR-6 are the other common answers. Whichever route you take, tell us the exact combination so it goes into the same press as the pistol.
No. The XL grew in both directions — longer slide and longer grip — so it runs past the end of a base P365 shell and the muzzle finishes outside the holster with nothing supporting it. Retention is taken forward of the trigger guard, and that geometry no longer lines up. The XL has its own line in the selector, as does the version without a Spectre comp.
They do not. Extended magazines grow downward, past the bottom of the grip and clear of every surface the Kydex contacts, so one holster covers all three. The spare carrier is where it bites: flush, twelve and fifteen-round bodies each measure differently, and a moulded pouch only fits the one it was pressed for. Name yours at checkout and that is the one we cut.
Bigger in the grip, not in the slide. The X-Macro keeps the same 3.1 inch barrel as the original P365 and adds a substantially larger grip module carrying seventeen rounds, which is why it feels like a different class of pistol while measuring the same up front. For holster purposes that means the shell meets the frame in a different place, so the two do not interchange despite the shared slide length.
Both, and both generations of the AXG Legion are tooled separately. The AXG uses a metal grip module rather than polymer, which changes the frame profile where the shell wraps, and the Fuse sits at the longer-slide end of the family. Neither shares a pattern with the base gun. Select the exact line at checkout and we press to that variant.
The Triton Series IWB starts at $50, a double magazine pouch is $60 and the Hades sidecar carrying pistol and spare together is $90. Pressing a light or a rail adapter into the shell does not change what it costs. Builds take ten to fourteen business days because nothing is pre-made, which with nine live variants is precisely why we can offer all of them. Should SIG branch again into something we have yet to tool, that first one needs a new mold and will take longer than the usual window.
