This is definitely the best magazine pouch (and probably best duty belt accessory) I’ll ever own!
I initially received a version that was a bit taller, which almost fully encased the magazines and made it a bit difficult to draw the magazine as well as dug into my hip while wearing it on my duty belt. That being said, the build quality was fantastic and the retention was even better, leaving me with high hopes, knowing that if those issues were fixed that it could be great. I sent them an email with my issues and within 24 hours they had resolved the issues and shipped me a new carrier.
I put the new carrier on my belt and I could tell it was 1000x better than the first version they sent! It no longer dug into my hip and there was now ample room to get a solid grasp on the magazines. That, combined with the excellent retention and fantastic build quality make this magazine pouch the best I’ll ever own.
The my old magazine pouch, which was department issued, was very lackluster and did not perform well at all in any test put at it. I have been in several fights on duty with my old carrier and it was almost a given that my magazines would not be in the pouch at the end of the altercation, definitely a huge safety issue. I have yet to be in an altercation with this mag carrier but I already trust it a million times more!
